Flowjam makes launch videos for AI companies. When a startup comes out of stealth, ships a product or reintroduces itself, we make the film that gets the internet to pay attention, then run the launch push behind it. Our films have done 39 million views with no media budget behind them.
Every film starts on the board. Before anything is shot or animated, the storyboard decides what the viewer sees, shot by shot, and it's what founders sign off on. We need more people who can do that well.
We're hiring several storyboard designers
This isn't one seat. We're building a bench of storyboard designers and taking on more than one, across three ways of working:
- Full-time. On the team, on every launch.
- Part-time. A set number of days a week, every week.
- Freelance. Project by project, when a launch fits your schedule.
Tell us which suits you when you apply. If you're open to more than one, say so.
What you'll do
- Board launch films. Turn an approved script into clear, frame-by-frame storyboards for live action, motion graphics or a mix of both.
- Find the visual idea. Work out how to show an abstract AI product so it lands in the first three seconds.
- Hand off cleanly. Boards that directors, editors and motion designers can work from without guessing.
- Iterate with founders. Revise quickly on feedback, often within the same day.
You're a fit if you
- Have a portfolio of storyboards for ads, film, animation or branded content.
- Draw fast and clearly, by hand or digitally (Procreate, Photoshop, Storyboarder or similar).
- Think in shots, framing and pacing, not just pretty frames.
- Can read a script and see the film.
- Are online and responsive when a launch is close.
Nice to have: animatics, motion or editing skills, or experience with tech and startup brands.
